氷T2は高圧の液体の水からシミュレーションにより自発的に生じた新たな氷で、おそらくこれまでにシミュレーションで生じたなかで最も複雑な結晶構造を持ちます(単位胞に152分子を含む)。TIP4P/2005、TIP5P、SPC/E水モデルなどの、広く使われている水モデルで安定相の一つと考えられます。
